A garter bar / transfer comb is used in the Machine knitting community for removing a partially knitted garment from the knitting machine turning it around and being able to place it back onto the knitting needles. The meaturments to create this Garter bar were taken from a Empisal KH-680 (4.5mm). Each 'bar' has 25 pins and is 105mm wide. A slot is printed on the top allowing for multiple 'bars' to be placed side by side to form one long 'bar', the slot fits a 12mmx3mm Aluminium flat bar. Version2: The second version has a sharper point, allows for easier transfer of garment from needles to transfer comb.
