The transmission setup in Gas Gas Pro trials bikes is pretty amazing. It is able to get 6 gear ratios out of 4 gear pairs. All gears and gear pairs are free spinning on the shafts. The splines and sliders are locked to the shaft. The sliders can engage gears to lock them to the shaft. I was fascinated by how it works, so I modeled the setup so I could spin the gears and change ratios myself. https://youtu.be/Rtv10YeKrsQ
