Gas Gun Desk Lamp

Darkwing duck gas gun inspired desk lamp. This is the lamp only. The arm pictured was ordered and is frankly not very effective for the design. I would recommend a more mechanical arm or at least something more flexible. These can be ordered online or or there are lots of designs available to print. p.s. forgive the bad finish I was testing something new and it do not work great this is a flaw in the finishing not the design. This project requires some light electrical work if you are not comfortable with that please consult a professional. Parts and assembly instructions Keyless E12 light socket (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X49BVV6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Single Circuit button (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T6I8TTG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Lamp cord and plug LED bulb with E12 socket (must be LED other bulbs get to hot and could melt the lamp) Insert the switch into the hole in the handle halves then adhere them together Assemble the stock halves Determine wire location drill a hole for the power cord and appropriate method for mounting to your chosen arm. I chose back of the gun but the bottom of the handle could work as well, it will just be a tight fit getting the power cord past the switch. Pull the switch wires and power wires through the stock and out the front. Adhere the handle to the stock Adhere the Barrel Main to the barrel end Insert the socket into the barrel assembly so it sticks only slightly into the barrel end but is most inside the barrel itself. If it is loose wrap the the socket in electrical tape once or twice until you get a tights friction fit. Note: the length of bulb you use is important to ensure it does not protrude out the end Wire the socket, switch and power together following all local rules and guidelines. Stuff the connections into the cavity of the stock. Don't leave too much extra wire or it will be hard if not impossible to stuff in the cavity safely. Test and cross your fingers, if it doesn't work google it or consult a professional electrician. Either friction fit or adhere the stock to the barrel Attach to your chosen arm Adhere the scope For adhering parts I prefer to use a wood burner and filament to weld/fuse the parts together. your instinct is going to be to grab the gun itself to reposition it, just make sure your joints can stand up the that. One last note make sure you are paying attention to where the wire needs to be threaded through on the arm and gun if you get a wire with the plug pre-attached you may need to change the order of operations a little and it is pain to realize it late and need to cut the plug off and add a new one.
