The initial 'principle of operation' design for a firearm delaying mechanism exhibited several drawbacks, including premature locking and inability to control the central component (firing pin holder). Inspired by MP5's delayed blowback images, I conceptualized an improved version approximately 1.5 years ago; however, I plan to rework it soon and dedicate more time for refinement.
