Gastornis (Gastornis parisiensis) 1/35

Gastornis (Gastornis parisiensis) 1/35

thingiverse

Gastornis was a family of giant terrestrial birds from the late Paleocene and Eocene epochs. Fossils were found in Europe (Mostly France and Germany), USA and China. The USA species G. gigantea was previously known as Diatryma gigantea, before being included in the Gastornis genus. Gastornis was a relative of modern ducks (Anseriformes) thus often gaining the nickname of "terror duck", however recent studies show that it was most probably a plant eater. This reconstruction is suitable for 1/35 scale, for SLA printers, and can represent any Gastornis species as very few differences exists between them. I have no idea how to correctly place supports to print this thing...
