Gatchaman G-Force Battle of The Planets Phoenix

Gatchaman G-Force Battle of The Planets Phoenix

thingiverse

This is a remix of Gentle Giant's Phoenix airplane from the 1970s Japanese anime, "Gatchaman" (aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman). It was known as "Battle of the Planets" (aka G-Force) in the USA. If you want to know more about this Japanese anime check out the Wikipedia article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_Ninja_Team_Gatchaman There was also a live-action movie based on Gatchaman that came out in 2013. Movie trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r56XwTGidsU I took the model and split the file into three individual parts using MeshMixer in order to print a larger model that can be glued together after printing. When printing the middle section of this model I suggest using support and a raft. When removing the rafts be careful doing so around the three small fins at the back and top of the model. Even at the size I printed my model they were still quite delicate to handle. Once I printed all three pieces I glued them together with Goop brand multi-purpose adhesive and let the adhesive cure overnight. Many thanks to GentleGiant for the creation of this 3D model! NOTE: I took the individual files and converted them to .OBJ files in MeshMixer and uploaded them here if you want those, too.
