Gauntlet finger

Gauntlet finger

thingiverse

A jointed armor type of thing for your fingers. They are intentionally slightly smaller than average fingers; in order to fit, they must be heated slightly, just until the plastic is pliable (a blow-dryer should work on PLA, be warned that if you use a heat-gun you can get the plastic too hot and could burn yourself!), and then put them on and take them off a couple of times, re-heating the plastic as needed until they fit. I made a blank version that can be edited if you want (or printed as-is, it looks vaguely robotic, which might be your aesthetic), and a "saurian" version with a vaguely scaly look and talon-like claws. I'm pretty happy with that, but I might make other versions of the same basic idea the next time I'm feeling creative. I'm also thinking of adding chainmail to this at some point to make it into a proper gauntlet, but that's a project for another day.
