This design is an update of version 1.0. The principal change improves mechanisms with a lighter weight. This improvement was changing materials and redesigning the case of the gearbox. These changes don’t affect the functionality of the previous design.This is a Gearbox with 5 stages.Gear Material: MC Nylon (CDR2), core of Steel 4140Case Material: Aluminum 6061-T6 and Delrin covers for protect the gears and the main system.Other MaterialsConsidering an initial speed of 1000 RPM, and a torque of 0.040 Nm we get:Stage 1: Gear Ratio 3.33:1, Speed 300 RPM, Torque 0.133 NmStage 2: Gear Ratio 4.16:1, Speed 72 RPM, Torque 0.556 NmStage 3: Gear Ratio 4.16:1, Speed 17.28 RPM, Torque 2.3148 NmStage 4: Gear Ratio 4.16:1, Speed 4.1472 RPM, Torque 9.645 NmStage 5: Gear Ratio 4.16:1, Speed 0.995 RPM, Torque 40.187 NmThe installation of the gearbox is in the Z axle.This design has positioning pin for the correct alignment and easy way to assy.The design has fix shaft for compact design, gears rotate by bearings over the fix shafts.The mechanism is reversible.I integrate to my design commercial parts from high quality brands like Misumi and Mc Mcmaster-Carr, with the finale of reduce manufacturing cost and reduce the lead time.This gearbox doesn’t need oil.
