GE Dishwasher Lower Drawer Wheel

This is a replacement wheel I designed for a GE dishwasher lower drawer. It is designed in two parts just like the original and has relatively tight tolerances. I printed the prototype out of ABS but designed it to be printed in nylon for long term durability. The part can be assembled by pinching the clip with a pair of needle nose pliers and inserting it into the wheel. Print Settings Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .1mm Infill: 100% Notes: The wheel can be printed without supports flat on it's back. In the example shots it was ABS printed on clean hot glass at 110C. The clip prints best with the basket clamp flat on the bed, with a raft, with supports for the wheel spoke. Post-Printing Tolerances on this part are tight so make sure to clean up any print aberrations with a razor. How I Designed This Design based on measurements taken from an original wheel, rendered as sketches in Autodesk 123D, then extruded, combined, and tweaked.
