This is the second design i've come up with, the first being here.. GE Jet Engine Bracket - Very Lightweight The first one satisfied all of the requirements but I felt like it was too bland. This second design also satisfies all the requirements, and at all the specified loads it does very well. The MAX Displacement that occured was about .005 in. Very little.. The FoS that I checked for was up to 2.0, but it would go higher. The weight it came out to was about 480g. about a 78% decrease from the original. It still meets all requirements, and honestly looks better, not that that matters to its function. It would be a good demonstration of what additive manufacturing allows to be accomplished that traditional methods just don't allow.
