This study was done for my graded unit. I did a failure analysis on a broken gear. At first i analysed the forces acting on it and then simulated it with FEM on Solidworks simulation. After Validating the breakage point we proceed with SEM (scanning electron microscopy) to validate the cause of fracture that was proposed in the begining.
