!! Work in progress !! (but I have no time to make a cleaner design) This is a gear housing for the Tamiya Grasshopper series... Motor (540 size) is lower and closer to the pivot, providing extra stability. Print tips: use PLA strong or better. 1.6mm thick. Lay each half case on its seam to print. After printing, I clean the bearing places with a home made 11mm reamer. (otherwise they might be too tight!) Assembly tips: a long M2.5 screw on each side of the pivots will strengthen them! Use a heat shield (Tamiya's or a piece of cardboard) between the motor and the PLA to protect it from the heat. The two half cases are assembled by long M2.5 screws. I never used nuts. Same motor pinion as the original (19T?) I keep dirt off with a bit of neoprene glue around the seam. And a bit of tape to close the pinion peek hole. I've run about 8h with this version and had no issue... and lots of fun!
