What is a reducer and how does it work?
Image result for GEAR REDUCER
The working principle of the reducer is to balance the power, reduce the power and increase the torque force in the simplest terms. The uncontrolled and loaded power from the electric motor reaches the gearbox. With the help of gears in the gearmotor, it balances this power and brings it to the level needed by the machine or the vehicle.
What is gear reduction ratio?
In gearboxes, how many times the speed and torque change is indicated by the reduction ratio. For example: In a motor with a reduction ratio of 100:1, 100 turns of the motor shaft mean that the shaft of the final gear at the gearbox output makes one revolution. In other words, the speed will decrease 100 times and the torque will increase 100 times accordingly.
