A Lego Technic-compatible model gear pump in two parts. Gears and axles are not included. # Assembly - Print the two halves of the pump. - Insert two standard Lego Technic 16-tooth gears into the housing part, so that they fit into the two recessions in the bottom of the inside of the housing and the holes in the centers of the gears and the small holes through the housing align. The gears should now mesh. - Put on the second part of the pump, the lid, so that the gears fit into the recessions on that as well, and the holes through the centers of the gears align with the small holes through the part. - Now the two halves of the pump should be fitted together without any major openings. - 4 holes on the outside of the housing should now be aligned with 4 holes on the outside of the lid; secure the two halves of thepump together by inserting a Lego Technic pin or axle through each pair of holes. - Insert one Lego Technic axle through each of the gears, so that the axles go through the holes on each side of the pump. One of the axles needs to stick out a short bit on one side of the pump, to drive one of the gears, which drives the other gear as well. - Technic pins can be inserted into the holes going into the housing at each side to be able to attach pipes or hoses to the pump. - Done This is a model for 3D-printing, do not count on it being able to pump anything through it efficiently, especially not gases.
