<p>This is a replacement electronics enclosure for the <a href="https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers--3d-printer-kits/pp_356128.html?wid=1433363">Gearbest T8 CNC Engraver</a>, intended to provide better dust protection, ventilation and convenience.</p> <p>This enclosure also combines both stepper electronics and spindle into a single 24V jack input, instead of using two separate PSUs like the original design. The stepper drivers run on 24V just fine (actually better than 12V) and the motor draws 6A when in full stall, 400mA during regular operation. Therefore the one included 24V 8A PSU is enough.</p> <p>Extra decoupling capacitors can be added on the arduino side (see pictures), filtering caps and a flyback diode<strong>must</strong> be added to the motor terminals.</p> <p>The enclosure also contains a mounting hole for 3.5mm socket, meant to be connected to probe pins (for easy attachment of an external Z probe).</p> <p>...</p> <p>The top and bottom parts were designed to be screwed into the bronze M3 posts (part of the engraver packaging) to fit tightly against each other. In practice, screw/hole alignment makes this fairly impractical, especially if you print in ABS without an enclosure.</p> <p>Buy a long M3 threaded rod and simply cut it to size, clamping top/bottom using nuts from each side.</p> Category: 3D Printer Accessories
