Geeetech A10 / A10M (old versions) Base Cover incl. Raspberry option
cults3d
To get rid of one weak point of the A10M, the unprotected cable between the board and the display, I designed a 2 pcs cover. Since the tolerances of my printer are a little off, I hope the design fits well on yours. Since I don’t have the A10 I can’t confirm, but the cover should fit on the regular A10 as well. A feedback is appreciated if it fits, so I can put it into the description. Additional parts needed: 2(4) pcs. M4x20 allen bolt Assembly: 1. Disassemble the 2 display screws and place the display to the right. 2. Disassemble the top right screw of the electronics cover. 3. Slide in the top part from the front and carefully lift the lower part until the brim at the back snaps into the frame. Make sure that the display cable is in the opening of the right brim. 4. Assemble the top right screw of the electronics cover. (if you are using a fan exhaust cover you might need to slightly bend it and user a longer screw) 5. Move in the bottom part in place from below and attach it with the 2 bolts holding the display in place. 6. Put in the front 2 M4x20 allen bolts. This should lock the cover properly into place. (the other 2 blots can only be assembled if the bed is detached, so choose for yourself if you need them as well) I also included the freeCAD file if you want to tweak it manually. Here also let me know if you suffer some issues, so I can fix them. News: - I was asked to add a raspberry mount to that case. This geometry comes without testing since I am already working on a separate case for the rasperberry, a 5V power supply and a 5V relay to switch the whole printer on/off. - It comes with a M4 and also M3 version (since M3 is more common for 3D printers) Hope this works. Just tell me if some things need to be corrected... - Thanks to JayFai I found some issues in the exported stl, so I made a v2 of all the files. Just let me know if there are other issues.
