Geeetech A10M Stock fan improved
thingiverse
The stock fan is a bit too close to the heat block, causing my original one to develop a hole from melting. This was after printing PLA at 210 degrees maximum. The new design takes this into account by keeping the block clear of the fan's airflow. It's the same general design concept as before, with the main difference being that it keeps the fan and heat block separate. I've been having success with overhangs and other complex prints using this setup. This is a work in progress for me, as I'm still testing the optimal settings for airflow on the nozzle and the cooling of the plastic as it exits the nozzle. My thermistor readings seem inconsistent, which may be contributing to the issue. Any feedback you have could help refine the design further. To print this in Cura: Rotate the model and select "Lay Flat".
