Geeetech i3 Pro X layer fan

Geeetech i3 Pro X layer fan

I've tried several designs for a layer fan. Ducted versions, "free" versions, downloaded, self designed etc... My conclusion was, that the ducted versions are not working as good as expected (too much air compression for a good duct, too small diameters, too small fan etc...), so I designed a free layer fan mount on my own. This one is cooling a big part of freshly printed layers and is also affecting the hotend not as much as you maybe think. Also, on the right side of the fan, there is enough place to mount some LED's, that's why the hole is there for the cables. It is designed to be directly mounted on the Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro X Extruder mount and a 40mm fan should be used. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech i3 Pro X Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0,2 Infill: 25% Notes: I've printed with a resolution of 0.2mm and 25% infill, however this is up to you and any other settings should also work. Turn the part to have the biggest surface lying on the bed.
