Geeetech Prusa I3 X - Fixation Prototype
thingiverse
I designed a stabilizing frame for my Geeetech Prusa I3 X printer, as its vinyl frame was not stable enough. To secure the printer, I employed four hexagon nuts on each border and used 4mm diameter screws to lock them in place. After printing this part and installing it into my printer, I achieved almost perfect perpendicularity of the XY axis. However, through trial and error, I discovered that the part was too tall and collided with the Z-level screw. To rectify this issue, I will need to reduce its height by 2mm. Furthermore, I am considering reducing the thickness of the entire frame to 3mm for improved stability and overall performance.
