Geeetech Prusa I3 X 8mm Acrylic Y Idler & Tensioner is a complete rethink after few mishaps with my first tensioner support bracket remix would catch the Y carriage occasionally. This was inspired by reading about pulley systems for another project but then finding Crowned Pulley by DaleDunn http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14117 Note: the pic of the crowned pulley was my test that was too tight and I used a heat gun to fit the bearings... the printed part should be a good snug fit and wound look distorted. Saying that though I did 20 hours of print without a problem despite it being wonky. This is designed to use the Original Bracket etc from Geeetech and 624ZZ (2off 4mmx13mmx5mm). Parts: M3 cap head x25mm M3 Nylock M3 square flat nut supplied by Geeetech M3 Washer I filed the Cap Head Bolt head down for belt clearance and just enough to get an Alan key to grip. I used the square M3 nut as a locknut on the pulley bracket. Between the spacer and Thumb wheel I used M3 washer. The most important thing is to get the Original metal U bracket to engage into the square hole in the acrylic front but not so far as to have the belt pinch on the hole to and bottom. The second thing is to make sure the belt is not too long that the idler bracket with the small square M3 nut doesn't bottom out before you have belt tension. I recommend you use a Y Carriage Belt Holder that you can easily adjust the belt length as the original setup from the kit is difficult having to punch holes in the belt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDiU9ghSkDo Added idler to take MR84zz but I am unable to test this... may work as the other.
