These are my personal designs for the xTool D1 laser engraver. The air assist currently comes in three known varieties - 13mm (5W), 14mm (10W), and 16mm (10w). I'll add more as they come along. You will need to measure the brass lens holder on your unit to see which one you need. Also, I made a little lever thingy, which makes it easier to loosen/tighten the set screw that is used for laser focus. If you can't manage to print these, and I'm not out of stock again, you can find them in my Etsy shop (hence the logos): https://www.etsy.com/shop/GeeksAtLarge?ref=seller-platform-mcnav About the air assist: After seeing the typical cone version on the market, examining its design, airflow characteristics, etc, I felt it could be done better. First, I solved the issue of needing to cut a hole in the laser shielding, or removing it entirely. My design wraps up inside the laser module, around the top of the laser shield, then back down and out. Second, I went about solving/minimizing the problems related to a 3D printed being near the focal point of a laser and/or getting flash burned from ignition. I moved 90% of the body away from the focal point, then put a common M6 brass nozzle up front. The nozzle assembly was then angled so that the air jet from the nozzle will push any ignition away from the body and the laser. Ideally, right out under the edge of the shield. Third, air flow optimization. The typical cone designs all have the same general issues with vortex, pushing air to the right place, etc. Make a cone, slap a hose nipple on it, and call it a day, right? Sure, it kinda works, if you have a big enough air supply. I used the jetted nozzle so that the air stream is straight, has minimal turbulence problems, and very efficiently put the air where it's needed. The jet is centered on the focal point of the laser, for the maximum effect. The 0.4mm nozzle is a good balance point for smaller air supplies, rather than requiring a beefy and/or noisy air supply in order to try and brute force the work. Work smarter, not harder. Lots of prototyping and redesigning, and version 7 became the winner. About the lever: After adding the air assist, getting at the knob on the side went from annoying to REALLY annoying. So, I solved that problem by switching from a knob to a lever, and moving the whole thing out a little further. Then some people saw it in Facebook pictures/vids, and they wanted it. And now it's a thing. About the camera mounts: These are design to be used with 2020 T-Slot extrusions. The lower bracket slips around the slip on the bottom frame edge and over the lip on the top frame edge. M4 8mm screws with T-nuts are used to hold them in place on the extrusion. Note, front are rear are different. About adjustable leg extensions: These threaded extensions screw directly into the D1's legs and extensions, but offer adjustable height. The short version is close to 1.5 of the official leg extensions when collapsed and 2.5 extensions when full raised. Use with 1/4" pins to hold in place. The long version is the equivalent to 2.5 of the official extensions collapsed and 4 extensions when fully raise. 1/4 pins here too. About Tube Guide: Print a pair of these, which then slip around the middle of a push fitting to hold it. Use with an M3 35mm screw, which replaces the stock 30mm version that holds the fan bracket About Leg Holders: Drop in the regular legs or extensions and there ya go. 4 screw locations on each, and a bit beefy. These are the base for the next gen adjustable legs. About 14-16mm Ring: Easy adapter for xTool's air assist and the 14mm 10W modules. Beats the silly tape they put in the kit.
