Gemini Space Capsule

This is the Gemini capsule and service modules from the 1960's program that let us learn everything we needed to know for the Apollo program. I found the basic model in sketchup from the Trimble site (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=13ddfafa0b41d8f77550eb58de5306fc&prevstart=48). The model does not have the kind of detail I would like for printing but unlike many of the other models I found it was actually round as opposed to faceted. At some point I may go back and add some raised lines to show the segments, hatches, panels and attitude jets. But for now this is enough to impress most passers by! Enjoy! Instructions I had to rescale the imported model to 60% to fit on my platform I used the following settings. I wanted to print it quick just to see if it would work at all. Layer 0.34 Fill 5% Shells 3 Supports : on It filled with support material behind the back of the spacecraft as that part is concave. You might not need this but I was worried it would be too hard to bridge. I stopped the print just after the little side "vents" finised on the service module and switched from white to black.
