OpenSCAD sourcecode coming soon. Usage Please note that this is an four tone instrument not a signalling device. Instead of blowing in with full force you should find the correct amount of air for each tone. Occasion Several of these whistles where printed on the Linuxwochen event (2015 in Vienna Austria)http://www.linuxwochen.at/wien/ About the design This whistle design is based on some accumulated experience. The blade is sharper due to the horizontal printing orientation. In this orientation the blade has to have a blunter angle but this doesn't seem to matter at all. The resonance chamber is airtight even with sub-optimal printer settings since all inner walls are 45° tilted ad thus no potentially porous top surfaces or bridged bottom surfaces are accessible to airflow. Text with veeery high detail is possible since it is put on 45° inward slanted walls. The gemstone shape naturally emerged due to the design restrictions. Printing tips I found that sound quality (lack of airiness) strongly depends on the used filament. (I used 0.1mm layer height and 30% infill) Btw: FDM ... fused deposition modelling - if you didn't know yet
