Ever since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemics, the world is terrified for its contagious nature. People has to maintain social distance in order to minimize the transmission of the virus. However, the healthcare professionals are dealing with this standing on the front line as they have to come in contact with the patients which is putting their life at risk most of the times. Sometimes the doctor and nurses are not equipped with proper personal protection equipment. GND-1 (Generic Nursing Droid-1) has been designed to serve the purpose of minimizing the contact of nurse and COVID-19 infected patient. GND-1 is equipped with state of the art technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It has got all the features that is supposed to be in a nurse robot starting from multifunction display to robotic arms that is equipped with IR thermometer, pulse oximeter and gripper that makes it a dedicated nurse robot to deal with COVID-19 infected patients in hospital.
