Geodesic Sphere from special PolyPanels

myminifactory

My entry for Devin Montes' PolyPanel Competition is a 4-frequency Geodesic Sphere crafted from six basic specialty PolyPanels, also known as GeoPanels. I drew inspiration from R. Buckminster Fuller's spherical Icosohedron design. Each GeoPanel seamlessly integrates Devin's PolyPanel snap model, ensuring compatibility with non-Geodesic PolyPanels. I spent approximately 40 minutes per panel printing them using my CR 10 settings. Initially, I relied on a combination of Fusion 360, Cura, and ZBrush to create the panels. However, after mastering Fusion 360, I was able to exclusively model the panels in this software. My experience with Fusion 360 was akin to navigating a challenging obstacle course, earning it the nickname "Con-Fusion 360."
