Magazine base spacer to space out the mounting point of the shell and the bottom of your reservoir tank. The reason why that gap exists is because there are slight variations in length of the reservoir tube, this spacer prevents users from accidentally fastening the M5 screw all the way down and deforming the mounting point. The spacer comes in different thicknesses so that you could shim the top of the reservoir core flush to the magazine case itself if you notice that it is seated too low
