MY GROUND-UP REDESIGNED WAND IS AVAILABLE HERE: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3164780 ****************************************************************************************************** Totally remodeled some parts for CountDeM0net's excellent Proton Wand remix. I found that the front valve and gunbox side didn't fit, due to issues with the origin models (and not having the original STEP/whatever files they came from). That said, I modeled up total replacements in Sketchup, as the original STL's have horrible mesh issues that were more work to fix than was reasonable. I've printed and tested these parts - keeping in line with the tight fit philosophy CountDeM0net had on his remix, minor sanding may be required for proper fit. Updated 9/4/2017 - Added Front Handle Adjuster (Aka the Ear) with properly modeled holes for a standard subminiature pushbutton and 5mm Cliplite lens. Also added the sidecrank mounting pin STL separated from the original source STL's as they were otherwise unavailable. Huge Update 9/30/2017 - Added a remodeled banjo fitting to properly include the nut detail at one end, as well as a hole for the 1/8 red tubing. Also added an insertable adapter to fit up a GBFans bargraph, as well as an adapter that installs a 10mm LED (GBFans kit style) in the end of the barrel, just peeking out like the original photo flash tubes did. The gunbox front panel was also modified as the Clippard barb hole was too large. It now has a proper sized hole for the #10-32 fitting. It should screw in to the plastic as-printed. I've also added a printable lens for the bargraph, as when it's printed in clear PLA and flame polished, it has a lenticular-style effect. I also did the same for the vent lens, which mates up with an 8mm LED (ala. GBFans kit). At the request of my wife, I also made a printable hat light body, as well as a printable hat light body designed to be buried in the model/inserted from behind (the one on top of the gun body). Because the original model's holes are undersize, you will need to drill to fit (11/32 or Letter S). I recommend printing them in translucent PLA and flame polishing. They come out pretty nice. Updated 11/28/2017 - Added the missing Gunbox Lens (Bargraph Lens). Updated 8/29/2018 - Added a totally remodeled Gunbox. It is now 1 single piece and reinforced, prints with supports beautifully. Two models have been uploaded. The first - gunbox_main_remodel, is simply a remodel of the original. The second, gunbox_main_remodel_gbfans_bargraph has built-in mounting for the GBFans wand kit's bargraph, as well as a properly sized opening for it. I also added a remodeled top knob for the gunbox, as I was unhappy with the original.
