The GI Joe Devilfish, a model in the 1986 toy line. This is a "waterline" model, meaning I cut it off at the bottom so (when printed) it looks like it is floating in the water. Update 6/2 added the uncut model. I did not have the toy in hand when I modeled it so I used the blueprints, online pictures and probably a few estimates. One interesting detail, the missile mounting location on the blueprints and the pictures of the toy on the box do not match. I followed the box picture, but if you really want I suppose you just glue them in the other location. Although the file was created in full scale it is optimized for printing at 25%. Unless you stay in that range your print may have too much or too little detail. A big ‘thank you’ to Chris who provided some key dimensions from his old toy. If it wasn’t for him I would not have made this. My finished model weighs 5 grams so it cost me about $0.12 for the material to print it. This file is free to download but please note that it is listed as “non-commercial” because this is a “copy” of someone else's intellectual property and not my own design. Neither you nor I are allowed to buy or sell physical copies of this 3-D model. You are allowed (and encouraged) to print copies for your own personal use. If you have downloaded this file from a source other than my site on thingiverse.com they have done so without my permission. Thank you for respecting me and the rights of the original copyright holder. On Memorial Day '18 thank you to the 1.3 million soldiers (1776-present day) who gave their lives so Americans like me can live in peace, freedom and make silly little toys like these. Rest in peace.
