Giant Lego Flame Lamp

Giant Lego Flame Lamp

This is a large version of a lego flame on a 1x1 cone. I don't remember the exact scale I ended up with (started this project over a year ago and just recently printed the base), but the overall mated height of the flame and cone is 19". The flame is 7/32" laser cut acrylic ordered from Mcmaster-Carr. I had plans to design the lighting to fit in the cone piece with some extra laser cut parts and left a spot in the bottom for wires to a power supply to run out. I haven't gotten around to finishing the lighting, the photo shown with illumination is using an LED turn signal for a car. The lighting wasn't as bright as I was expecting, most likely because the turn signal isn't focused straight up. Because of the shape of the flame it isn't evenly lit from the light, I am thinking about sanding the edges with a fine grit sandpaper to disperse the light around to hopefully help with that problem.
