I printed the magnet backs on a resin printer for speed. The magnets could optionally be glued in place without the backs using hotmelt glue or similar although it may not be as secure.

Make sure that the magnets are the correct way round when installing, I made all orange parts one polarity and all blue the oposite polarity.

The backs were then bolted together with springs to allow plenty of movement and flexibility.

The total cost I would estimate to be around £80 mainly due to the cost of the magnets.

Links to materials:-

Springs https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076LWW73C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Magnets https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372841535335?var=641728318720
