Gibson Les Paul Standard/GoldTop 3D Carve Template

The first series of images are contour maps of the revised Les Paul carved top. The original model was completed in 2014 and has been tweaked several times over the last few years to improve the shape and get it as close as I can to a vintage Les Paul. The entire guitar was remodelled in 2019 based on Tom Bartlett's 2D plans. The neck angle is 4.2 degrees which sets the bridge very slightly lower into the body. The vast bulk of the man hours spent on this model have been spent on the carved top. I wouldn't even like to know how many hours have been spent on it. The images simulate a Gold Top because it shows the shape better than a flamed maple sunburst finish.Due to the level of interest in my work, my portfolio of guitar design work is now a small business.
