Update: Added mod that tilts the fan 10 deg towards the front of the cab and has more clearance towards the motherboard. Files marked. I do not take any responsibility for you or your graphics card condition before, during or after installation. This mod is made with the purpose of decreasing the noise level of the GTX 1070. Typical temp on the card on my system playing PUBG is 65 deg C, with a fan speed of +-1000 RPM It is highly recommended to use a "advanced" fan controller (e.g. Corsair Commander Pro), to enable control of the fan speed based on the GPU temperature. You need: 2 M3x20 bolts 2 M3 nuts 4 3,2 mm washers 1 Noctua NF-A14 PWM (or similar) Installation description: 1.Remove the 7 bolts holding the cooler to the card. 2. Carefully remove the cooler, and remove the connector for the fans. 3. Remove the 2 bolts in each end of the cooler, to remove the fan shroud (4 bolts total). 4. It is now recommended to remove and apply new thermal paste, and inspect the condition of the thermal pads. Replace if necessary. 5. Slide the two main parts of the new fan mod in on the cooling block. The offset part shall face outwards (power connector side). 6. Bolt the two parts together with the M3 bolts, nuts and washers. 7. Glue on the end stops on each side of the new fan mod, preventing the mod to slide of. 8. Install the fan, using the complimentary Noctua fan mounts. 9. Install the new cooler on the card, opposite order of step no 2 and 1. 10. Go have fun! Update 2019-11-10: Added GPUduct1V2 and GPUduct2V2. Same as the tilted one, but this time it has only two parts, and it is fastened to the cooler with 4 short M3 screws, in stead of the snap-on style - for durability. Only tighten the screws against the ribs of the card. Prints and works fine in PLA.
