I just had two serious crashes. One from 30m above spinning and dropped straight to the roof of a house and then to the ground. The guard and the extended foot (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2297143) did their job. The drone, camera and gimbal were well protected. The guard and extended foot were broken. I glued the rods in the older version. After the crash, I couldn't reuse the carbon fibre rods. This modified version, I used three plastic strips to hold them together. Of course you can still use glue if you like. It is still use 3mm carbon fibre rods inside the guard to make it tougher. A modified version uploaded. This version is used to attached a VR camera or Go Pro camera under the original camera.
