Glass and metal patio table plastic assemblies

One of the two design here was based on the inital openSCAD file from Glass Patio Table Rim Clip by Ettie . So I had this patio table that started to be fragile and shake. The way it is designed structural parts depends on those plastic elements to support the whole table and the glass. After a few season the molded plastic started to crack and losing its strength I first designed something similar to the moulded elements (see pictures), and then think about why there was this design : cheap moulded construction with some reinforcement elements. However here, I was printing it, so I can create gap inside and make it solid outside. And Also having it more robust. Then I worked on the glass support from scratch with the same idea. OpenSCAD files are provided to adapt to your own model with ease, simply measure and replace the variable content to your need.
