Glass Bed Holder - Spring Plunger

Glass Bed Holder - Spring Plunger

This was designed to be used on the FlashForge Creator Pro utilizing a glass bed. I would imagine the design could be customized to many different printers. The standard "L" Brackets never really adjusted well enough to hold the glass bed without using spring clamps. After running my printer into the spring clamps a few times and always having to position the spring clamps just right, I decided to move the clamping to the sides of the glass bed while not protruding above the glass bed. This design utilizes your common ball point pen spring, which our junk drawers have an abundance of, 3D printed parts, and 1" x 4-40 screws. I also went out an purchased some M3 wing bolts to connect the base to the printer bed. I had to file the sides of the plunger to ensure that they fit and I also had to utilize a drill bit to make the plungers and springs fit into the base. I have not perfected the shrink factor on my printer well enough to understand the percentage that I need to grow inside diameters.
