The following was inspired by a book from the 50's which showed individuals how to make models out of balsa. This is the Printable version of it. I do not have access to a printer large enough to test this model, and hope others maybe able to fine tune it. Based on a comment made I am updating this description to include the scale factor for 1:1 scale in Cura; 25.4 The models are all made in AutoCad in inches. Cura imports/works in MM. Instructions The following model is still in progress. Please improve where one can and comment below on how you fixed an issue or improved the model. I would love to know how to fix or look for problems in the future. Ok so the STL file is missing 3 parts which can be replaced with a piece of dowelling. one piece of doweling goes threw the gliders body so an elastic can go over the wings and hold them on. Second dowel goes in the bottom of the glider and is used to launch the glider. The second piece should go in at approx 45 deg angle. 3rd piece of dowelling is possibly not needed and goes threw the ... What I am going to call the outrigger (momentary laps in memory what it is called) but is the thing the tail section attaches to. The purpose for this is to use an elastic to attach the tail section and ensure it does not fly off in flight. Wait may be needed to be added to the nose of the glider as well so that it balances correctly The Cad file has all components in one file, including missing ones that are missing in the STL and Gcode. All Designed in AutoCad. The Mock up file is not actually meant to be printed, it is so you can explore the model before you print.
