Glock 17 Magazine Follower & Retention Plate

I really liked the magazine that myshadeofgray created, but felt that it was missing the retention plate that prevents the base plate from sliding off without first depressing the button. The only one that I could find was in the Glock 26 Mag Package by NCSquirll99Maker but it was slightly too wide to fit into the G17 mag created by myshadeofgray. Further, it didn't actually secure under the force of the spring since the backside was flat. Because of these factors, I took the G26 Mag retention plate and made it skinnier, and gave it a lipped edge so the retention plate couldn't slide out from under the spring. I also found that the mag followers were difficult to print so I modified it with a completely flat back side/far side so that you can print it on that portion without supports. Print these two pieces, then go and print the following files for a complete magazine: My_glock_mag_v3.2.stl from myshadeofgray GlockMagazineFloorPlate-2.stl from myshadeofgray Update: The jig below sucks, i'm going to try this one from grabcad: https://grabcad.com/library/springfactory-v-1-0-the-spring-bender-1/details For those that want to make their own springs, go here and download this jig: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4810916 (sucks) Then you need to get high-carbon piano wire (0.063" diameter or close), bend it using the bending jig and once you are happy with the formed wire put it into the oven for about an hour at 475 to heat treat them. Congrats, you now have a mag spring made of metal.
