Gloves Clip and Belt Hook

Gloves Clip and Belt Hook

There are useful gadgets to that you can purchase from the hardware store to keep your work gloves with you when you are not wearing them. These sold glove clips typically have clips joined by a flexible piece of plastic. One end attaches to your gloves, the other to your belt, belt loop or otherwise. I found that the clip that attaches to your belt is awkward and can get in the way. I decided to replace the clip that attaches to your belt with a 3D printed belt hook. My belt hook fits belt thicknesses up to about 3.5mm and with a width of less than 46mm. My clip directly replaces the commercial belt clip, re-using the rest of the glove clip arrangement. In the end, I duplicated the clip, too. This clip attaches to the belt hook via a short cord. The other end of the clip springs open and securely grips the gloves. For both parts, I chose to use PETG for the strength and flexibility. Whilst I haven't tried a print in PLA, I suspet that PLA will be too brittle and snap on either part. Here is my 3D design. My design may match your needs, too. My print is made in PETG 1.75mm Aurarum black filament and 3DFillies orange filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. The glove clip will need to be printed with supports enabled. I hope you can find this design useful, too.
