Glowglobe from Villeneuve´s Dune

#Dune Glowglobe This is a replica of the famous Glowglobe as described in Frank Herberts novel "Dune" and visualized in Dennis Villeneuve's cinematic adaptation. The 3D model was inspired by the rendered image shown below that I found on twitter. The model is intended to be utilized as a lamp by integrating some kind of LED lighting system inside. To create the "glowing" appearance, I plan to print the curved rings in a white translucent material, which will be illuminated from the inside. To fully mimic the lamp as described in the book, I thought of implementing a capacitive switch to turn the light on and off by a simple touch. Some sort of transparent stand would propably complete the illusion of the lamp hovering or floating on a surface. Any comments or suggestions on how to realize the lighting system would be highly appreciated.
