Glowing Apple of Eden Base (Remixed)

Glowing Apple of Eden Base (Remixed)

thingiverse

This is a remix for the Apple of Eden Base. The base now has a snap-fit enclosure. The enclosure is a little smaller than the original one but is a better build thanks to a layer-by-layer tutorial by the Ruiz brothers of Adafruit. The enclosure also was designed to have a hole for a 3mm led and mini SPDT switch. In addition, it has four posts for an Adafruit Trinket (3v or 5v). There are two additional posts in case you want to use, if not, just break them off. The electronics i used senses the Apple when placed on the base and illuminates it. When the Apple is taken off the base, the base illumination stops. You can view the video from the original and the video below. All details of the Apple (and its STL(s)) and part numbers ( of suggested electronics) are on the original thing (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1983334). I also attached the short cylindrical post separately which you can glue to the top base. This was done to make printing the base easier. Check out the video below, for the illumination of the base and apple. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop a comment.
