Glue-on control horns for RC models

thingiverse

This is a dead simple control horn for all your RC needs. Small, lightweight, no moving parts and nothing to break yet very strong for its weight. The design is as aerodynamic as possible and your model will experience little to no drag with this type of horn. There's no drilling or cutting involved in mounting this control horn. Simply print, sand the bottom and glue it with your favorite glue. You can use hot glue, double sided sticky tape, CA or anything that can bond to plastic really. Depending on your printer, build this part with 0.2 resolution if possible. You might need to broaden the hole a tiny bit. The best way we've found is to simply take your control linkage wire, heat it up a bit with a lighter and put it through the hole. You'll get the perfect size this way. Bottom, top and wall layers should be 3 at minimum, with 20% or more infill. Since this part experiences stress, bump up the temperature a bit. No supports needed.
