Glue Spreader

Glue Spreader

thingiverse

This is a device to help spread an even, thin layer of glue onto the edge of a piece of wood for glue up. It is adjustable from roughly 1/2" to 1 1/2". A couple of small springs can be used between the halves to create outward pressure. We have also found that if the spreader is not cleaned immediately, the excess glue peels off very easily after it has dried. UPDATE: Since a user asked, I uploaded a version with the logo removed and in mm instead of inches. The reason the sides originally said "Smith & Weisson" was because this project was a collaboration between myself (a mechanical design engineer with the last name Smith) and my friend/coworker (also an engineer/woodworker with the last name Weiss). e thought it was funny/clever to call it the "Smith and Weisson".
