This is a Clip? (I'm not sure how to describe it) to hold your power plug for the latest Green Mountain Grills into your grill. Their new design uses a cigarette plug into the back of the unit to plug it and it seems to easily pull out. Weather you trip on the cord or the wind eventually just works in free and then you find your dinner sitting on a powered down grill an hour later. This solves that, but still makes it easy to take the plug out if you wish to do so. There are two mounting options. The easiest and most secure is to use some self tapping screws through the screw holes on the base. The other option, is to use 3/8" x 1/16" thick Neodymium magnets glued into the recesses on the bottom. There are 4 places for these. The cord can still be pulled out when mounting with magnets, but it won't accidentally be unplugged. I get the magnets from https://www.magnet4sale.com/ for other projects I work on in my wood shop and they are fairly strong. Green Mountain Grills is working on a solution to this known issue, but I didn't want to wait and figured it was a good chance to try to learn some simple CAD/ design. Hope you enjoy if you are having this same issue. ****UPDATE: 5/2/2020 I added a cord lock for the center male & female power plugs that can tend to come unplugged as well. This is just two halves that you put together over the plugs when you have them pushed together and then has a space to clamp it together with two zip ties. It's quick and simple.
