GN49 Mako Interceptor

GN49 Mako Interceptor

cults3d

The GN49 is a common sight in the fleets of the Galactic Navy, and most pilots spend at least a few years in the cockpit of a Mako. Its usual role is as an Interceptor, hunting down hostile spacecraft and protecting larger, slower craft. It can, however, be outfitted for a number of roles, including as a dedicated ground attack craft to support planetary landings and terrestrial operations. The GN49 comes with a variety of armaments. Its nose can house a twin laser cannon, twin autocannon, or a deadly gatling cannon, while its hull has mounting points that can carry autocannons, bolt cannons, or laser cannons. Its wings can carry missile pods, autocannons, or lascannons, or pairs of each. Finally, the small thruster on its tail can be replaced with a remotely controlled heavy machine gun to deter pursuers. * I designed this model with filament printing in mind, but if your resin printer is big enough or you can slice it into enough pieces you could print it in resin too. Most parts will need to be mirrored, e.g the hull, wing etc. The file also includes a stand that’s about 120mm tall. Check the readme file for printing suggestions. * The GN49 Mako is the first in a line of Galactic Navy aircraft I’m currently designing. Stay tuned for the GN35 Remora, GN36 Beluga, and GN102 Manowar, and possibly more!
