This is a go-no-go gauge for the Geringhoff corn head shredder disc knives. When the knives are still mounting in the header there is no way to measure them to see if they are worn down beyond the recommended diameter, with this tool the service technician can check the disc, if the knife fits into the recessed area then they are too small and if they do not fit they are still large enough to be used.
