The parallel edges create less disturbance in the wash than with a small round shaped panel, which is better for very small gold dots, which are less heavy in absolute terms despite their density identical to larger pieces. The counterpart is that there is no sloping smooth side to recover the wash product by tilting at the end. It is necessary to have a small jet of water, or take a window spray filled with water or another water bottle; to rinse the gold points and gather the product of its washing in the center, then use a brush or a pipette. The second solution consists in washing it with plenty of water over another basin intended to recover the product of its harvest.
