These are based on the design found at http://goldenmeancalipers.com/ The "golden ratio" is the most famous of several fractions found in nature, and is found to be appealing to the eye. You can see in the photo with the spoon that the handle and head are in proportion according to this golden ratio. The golden ratio is also known as Phi and is equal to ((1+the square root of 5)/2) or 1.6180339887498948482045868343656 I made my calipers via stereolithography and joined them together with simple rivets and washers. Most of the SolidWorks models are saved in SW2013, but the assembly is SW2016. A Step file is also included.
