We have a 900mm diameter goniometer in our labs (CMMPE, University of Cambridge) of unknown provenance but using the standard 25mm spaced M6 breadboard pattern. I've found it very useful, here's a CAD model. I made this myself from measurements so it is liable to be innacurate.
