Goodman handle for Sofirn SD01

<p>I wanted to give a try to the Goodman handle concept so I designed one to go with my new Sofirn SD01Pro dive light. Also, having a GoPro like camera I added a foldable arm to be able to jump into water with the light (and camera) hanging neatly on a D-ring. When the arm is fully folded out, the camera's field of view is more or less aligned with the center of the light beam.</p><p>The SD01's beam is quite narrow, so I also designed a diffuser to spread it a bit. The diffuser is very much a work in progress. The slots used to hold the diffuser are slim and the clamps tend to get easily damaged. But it is usable.</p><p>There are three sizes that fit my wife's and my hands. Of each size, there are variants for left or right hand and a version without a camera mount.</p><ul><li>85mm fits my wife's hand in wet gloves</li><li>95mm fits me with wet gloves and my wife with dry gloves</li><li>105mm fits me with dry gloves</li></ul><p>The handle is designed for two M5x25 stainless steel hex bolts and two M5 washers (OD at least 17mm). Another two M5x25 bolts are needed for the camera arm.</p><p>All holes for bolts need to be tapped.</p><p>I stretched a rubber sleeve over the end of the light where the camera touches the body when folded to protect the plastic of the camera enclosure. A strip of bicycle tire inner tube works nicely.</p><p>There are sharp edges on the inner side of the lanyard holes on the body of the light. Use a file to dull them before attaching the bolt snap!</p><h4>Print instructions</h4><p>PETG is advisable to help it survive summer days in a car. I used Fiberlogy PETG, because it seems to be a bit more flexible and less prone to cracking on impact than some other brands I have used. They also sell refills without a spool.</p><p><strong>Grip:</strong> 0.2mm layers, 5 perimeters, 15% infill, no supports, a little cleanup may be required for overhangs in the slots</p><p><strong>Mount, Arm</strong>: 0.2mm layers, 3 perimeters, 15% infill, no supports</p><p><strong>Thumbnuts</strong>: 0.2mm layers, 2 perimeters, 15% infill, 5 bottom layers (to make the part under the head solid), no supports</p><p><strong>Diffuser</strong>: clear filament (obviously), 0.3mm layers, 15% infill, no supports</p>
