Google Pixel XL Dock

EDIT (10/24/2016 2:10) To add a little bit more personality to the dock, I have uploaded four files that can be printed in different colors to create the Google "G" logo. These can be glued into the existing "G" imprint. EDIT (10/22/2016 3:10) Speakers alignment fixed! Sorry for the issue! This dock is built for the new Google Pixel XL phone. The dock is specially designed to accompany features of the Pixel XL. Most importantly, it allows the device to be charged by including a hole for a USB Type-C charging cable. The dock also includes carefully placed and curved holes to not only allow sound to escape the bottom of the phone, but also to slightly amplify it. It also allows use of the microphone. This is great for use of the Google Assistant. The dock also sits low enough that the fingerprint scanner on the back is accessible, as are the volume and power buttons. Finally, the dock has a slightly raised wall to prevent the phone from falling out during normal use. Important Note: Dock fits Google Pixel XL phone with most normal cases, but not with ones that are very thick. To allow use of thicker cases, the slightly-raised front wall can be removed! Let me know if you make one! It will mean a lot! Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this with support material only in the speaker and charging cable holes. It printed very well. How I Designed This Design Process The dock was designed when I found the need for one on Thingiverse. I used Autodesk Inventor, my Google Pixel XL, and a caliper to carefully design a functional phone charging dock.
